“Their dance and music class was one of my favorite things that I did in Cambodia! I enjoyed how much interaction was in the class and learning the coconut dance and watching the rest of my group perform the monkey dance. They performance was very good as well and entertaining!”

Beautifully rich in detail and cultural importance
“The workshop is also highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about the particulars of the characters, story-telling (hands, gestures, movement details), types of dance (classical, folk and social) and music. The teachers are very attentive, and you’ll get to try some dancing yourself. The dance class lasts 90 minutes.”

Discover and learn the fundamentals of Cambodian dancing with our performers
Each day we hold a 90 minute workshop where you can learn some basic dances, try on the outfits, meet real artists and learn more about their lives and how they get trained. The workshop is a very relaxed and enjoyable way for everyone to learn and understand more about the history of the dances and have fun with the performers who will demonstrate and teach you some of the movements. You will learn the three forms of Cambodian dance, the Khmer classical dance, the folk dance and the social dance through watching examples from the performers. You can even learn to dance like a monkey or a giant!
